WOJCIECH GRUDZIŃSKI

DANCER / CHOREOGRAPHER

Graduate of the R. Turczynowicz General Education Ballet School in Warsaw and the Contemporary Dance Department at Codarts in the Netherlands. Recipient of a scholarship granted by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In the course of his education in the field of dance he took part in performances by choreographers such as Itamar Serussi, Hans van Manen, Ed Wubbe and Jiří Kylián. Moreover, he collaborated with Jens van Daele, David Bolger, Marta Ziółek, Magdalena Przybysz, Ola Osowicz and Ula Sickle. One of the performers in the Warsaw version of Gala by Jérôme Bela which premiered at the Nowy Theatre during the Ciało/Umysł 2017 festival. At the same time Grudziński is pursuing his own choreographic practice. He did a project with the La Cambre / Ecole nationale supérieure des arts visuels academy in Brussels. In the years 2016/2017, he did two solo works: SLAVE4YOU dlaciebiedlarodziny and PAX. In 2018, Grudziński was a resident of the Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk (Stary Browar Nowy Taniec as part of the Solo Projekt Plus 2018) when he made POPULUXE. This performance won Grudziński a study visit in the United States organized by the Institute of Music and Dance and Art Station Foundation and hosted by Movement Research as part of the GPS/Global Practice Sharing in New York (participation in the Movement Research Fall Festival) and Philadelphia. Collaborator of HOTELOKO movement makers: performer in #moiprzyjacieletancza, co-author of the choreography and performer in Absolutely Fabulous Dancers based on the original idea of Magdalena Przybysz and choreographer for Agata Życzkowska’s performances DARKLENA and frau blush.
