BASTIAN MAMAJEK-ŻYCZKOWSKI

Dancer, performer, contemporary dance promotion trainee. He has been dancing since the age of 6 in the MBB formation led by dancers Michał Bartoń and Katarzyna Kocoń. He is World Champion in Latin Show (IDO – Athens/Greece 2017, Sarajevo 2019), Polish Champion in IDO National Championships (Twardogóra 2016, Zagnańsk 2017, Ossa 2020, Raszyn 2021). He also won, among others, the Polish Cup in latin show dance -Stalowa Wola 2017 and 2018. He took part in contemporary dance workshops led by Maria Colusi, Silje Solheim Johansen, Mirek Woźniak. He danced at the Youth Palace in Warsaw under the supervision of Kamila Kwietniewska (modern, jazz, clip dance). He participated in the project “Familly Affair” by the Italian collective ZimmerFrei within the Warsaw Dance Scene run by the Ciało/Umysł Foundation (2015). He participated in the performance “Darklena” by Agata Życzkowska and choreographed by Wojciech Grudziński, which was created as part of the activities of the Centre for Dance Art in Warsaw (2018). This performance was also presented as part of the Studio Dance Scene programme in 2018 and as part of the National Institute of Music and Dance programme “Scene for Dance 2019” in the project “HOTELOKO for Youth”. He participated in the contemporary dance workshop “DANCE HIGHWAYS” in Warsaw during the first edition of the International Movement Festival U:NEW led by the HOTELOKO movement makers collective (2021) and in Norway during Vårscenefest in Tromsø (2022). He was a volunteer and a trainee during the organizational activities of the Theatre Development Foundation ‘NEW WAVE’ (Night of Dance 2020, Wave of Dance 2021, U:NEW Festival 2021).
